Process Analysis & Optimization

At SC Consulting, our Process Analysis & Optimization service is designed to deliver clarity, focus, and measurable improvements in just 30 days. We help organizations transform how they operate by identifying bottlenecks, uncovering root causes, eliminating waste, and designing scalable systems that drive results.

Our approach combines Lean principles, project controls, predictive analytics, and stochastic modeling to deliver forecasted outcomes such as reduced cycle times, lower expenses, higher retention, fewer defects and more. We don’t just highlight issues, we quantify the impact of fixing them.


The 30-Day Engagement Includes:

  • Structured Assessment: End-to-end process mapping to expose bottlenecks, redundancies, and underutilized resources, along with their root causes.

    • Methodology dependent on industry and process

  • Comprehensive Report-Out: A clear, data-driven review of findings with visualizations and actionable insights.

  • Top 2–3 Priority Targets: Identification of the most impactful improvement opportunities to pursue, supported by metrics and forecasted ROI.

    • Use of predictive analytics and stochastic modeling to ensure optimal target improvements


Add-On Options (Optional Additional 30–60 Days)

If you’d like ongoing support beyond the initial assessment, we offer three tiers of implementation oversight:

  • Lite (30 days): Advisory support to guide your team through execution, with periodic check-ins and KPI reviews.

    • Weekly virtual status meeting

    • Up to 5 hours a week of virtual support

  • Standard (30–60 days): Hands-on support with structured progress reviews, dashboard setup, and weekly alignment sessions.

    • Lite+

    • 10 hours of additional virtual support per week

  • Premium (60 days): Full partnership model: we embed with your team to manage implementation, monitor progress daily, and ensure improvements are locked in.

    • Standard+

    • 15-20 hours of dedicated support per week

    • Full project management, WBS, schedule, stakeholder engagement, communications, etc.

    • If onsite is preferred, travel and lodging charged as pass-through expense

Lean 8 Wastes Workshop

Every organization, regardless of industry, is challenged by inefficiencies that quietly drain time, money, and energy. These inefficiencies—commonly known in Lean methodology as the “8 Wastes,” summarized by the acronym DOWNTIME (Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, Non-Utilized Talent, Transportation, Inventory, Motion, and Extra-Processing)—are barriers to sustainable growth and performance.


This two-day interactive workshop is designed to help teams identify, analyze, and eliminate waste in ways that directly improve quality, productivity, and profitability. Unlike off-the-shelf training, this session goes beyond theory. Drawing from real-world experience in aerospace, construction, manufacturing, and service industries, the workshop connects abstract Lean principles to the day-to-day challenges participants face in their own work environments.

Workshop Structure:


Day 1: Foundations of Lean and the DOWNTIME framework, deep dives into the first set of wastes, and group activities that surface real inefficiencies within participant organizations.


Day 2: Exploration of the remaining wastes, introduction to countermeasures and improvement tools, and guided development of a waste-reduction action plan tailored to each participant’s industry and role.
